Francavilla in Sinni, a thriving centre enclosed between Sinni and Frida, features the interesting Mother Church from the fifteenth century placed on the end of the main street, dedicated to Saints Felice and Policarpo. Among the places of interest, the Charterhouse of San Nicola, just outside the village, represents only one of the elements that characterise the architectural and artistic heritage of Francavilla, also including the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Pompei from the nineteenth century, celebrated in August, the chapel of S. Antonio from the nineteenth century, the Chapel of S. Giuseppe from the nineteenth century with a canvas depicting the Madonna dell’Assunta, the Chapel of the Assunta from the 19th century, the Villa Comunale located in the centre of the village and the “Castello Viceconte”, built in 1886.
