the «Ponte alla Luna» in Sasso di Castalda is a unique and original Tibetan bridge system. It is located on the ravine, overlooking the small village of Sasso di Castalda, in the Lucano Apennine National Park. The passage on the bridge is the adrenaline peak after a series of routes, which also include the “Ponte Petracca” and the railway tracks. The two bridges overlook the ravine just a stone’s throw from the town. The first is 95 meters long and hangs at about 36 meters of height. The second is a single span of 300 meters and is suspended at 102 meters in height.
