DAY 1:

Arrival to the amazing town of Matera, famous for its century-old “Sassi”, cave dwellings that were literally carved out of rock, just like the many rock churches that dot the city.

Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Matera.

DAY 2:

Breakfast at the hotel and day dedicated for visiting the stones seen as well as in the traditional cultural angle where you will see the typical houses and rock churches present, it will look as a city of cinema. A city where great directors like Pasolini, Rosi, Tornatore and Mel Gibson have passed. During the way you will remind the sets of prestigious films. From films such as “La Lupa” and “L’uomo delle stelle (A star maker)” to the biblical cycles of “the Passion” and “Ben Hur” passing through the prestigious Italian fiction (like “Sorelle”). In the evening dinner in a restaurant and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3:

Breakfast at the hotel and morning dedicated to the historic center where countless Baroque and Romanesque monuments stand out in the main streets. An obligatory passage at the end of the journey is a panoramic stop on the Murgia Timone (now a regional park of rock churches).
