Pollino Outdoor Park
The Pollino Outdoor Park was born in San Costantino Albanese, in the province of Potenza, and is set in an attractive forest of turkey oaks, and is easily accessible, as it is within walking distance of the town. The Adventure Park boasts a series of outdoor physical activities where you can have fun in total safety, moving from tree to tree by means of suspended platforms, steel cables, Tibetan bridges, Tyrolean traverses (pulleys), ropes and ladders, testing your balance and concentration as well as getting some exercise.
All the routes require the use of safety equipment, consisting of a harness, ropes with carabiners and dissipater, pulley and helmet. There are seven trails of varying difficulty, of which three are specifically aimed at children. There are four trails for older children and adults: green, with a maximum height of 4.5 metres above the ground; blue, with platforms at a maximum height of 5 metres above the ground; red, with variable heights and with medium-high difficulty; and purple, made up exclusively of long, panoramic Tyrolean transverses. In addition, two wooden cabins have been constructed, one to be used as a reception and another to house the facilities; there is also a picnic area, explanatory signs and a parking area. With around 50 activities, it is one of the largest of its kind in southern Italy.
