The houses of this small village of the Vulture seem to cling to the green hill on which their foundations rest. Between them is enclosed an inviting thermal establishment, while in the historic centre the protagonists are the Cathedral of the Assunta, from the thirteenth century, which welcomes believers with a beautiful Romanesque portal and a notable bell tower, the Church of Santa Lucia, even more ancient, from the X-XI century, and that of the Crocifisso erected by the Benedictines.
Rapolla too, like most of the municipalities of the Vulture, in the Easter period and in particular on Holy Tuesday, is transformed into an open-air theatre with the staging of the Sacred Representation.
The food and wine heritage is interesting, and can be sampled during the event “Urban Park of the Cantine di Rapolla” which, now in its 17th edition, involves the most curious palates in a unique sensory experience in a magical location.
