Located on a spur overlooking the Basento valley, the village of Trivigno is surrounded by greenery.

Among the places of worship in the village we can see the Church of San Pietro, with its squared bell tower, a remarkable baroque altar and wrought iron decorations, the Church of the Madonna del Carmine, with a painted ceiling from the eighteenth century, the Church of San Rocco and the chapel of Sant’Antonio. Along the territory it is possible to observe some rock churches, like that of Santa Maria located in the Leo district, dating back to the early decades of the fourteenth century and of Benedictine origins. We can see only a few remains of the church, including the ruins of the apse and the wall structures of the side naves.

The village was the birthplace of the Hollywood silent film director and actor Rocco Giuseppe Vignola, known as Robert Vignola.
