Around Gallicchio we enter the lands of oil, with the boundless olive groves that extend throughout the lower Val d’Agri. The village stands on a cliff surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, as well as rocks dotted with caves, often used as agricultural deposits. Gallicchio also boasts a production of goat cheeses, cacioricotta and pecorino, with an intense and characteristic taste. A place of interest is certainly the Church dedicated tothe Assunta, which òpreserves a canvas with the Madonna del Carmine painted in 1613 by Giovanni Angelo D’Ambrosio.
