Like the pieces of a puzzle, the houses of Genzano di Lucania fit perfectly together on a spur in the upper Bradano Valley, interrupting the uncontaminated natural continuum that frames them. Among the huts of this ancient Roman settlement it is worth exploring the Church of the Annunziata, from the XII century, the Church of Santa Maria della Platea, the Palazzo de Marinis, of Angevin origin and today seat of municipal offices, and the beautiful Cavallina Fountain, large, majestic and featuring on its top a sculpture of the goddess Ceres from the 1st century BC, which makes it even more precious. A few kilometres from the village, we find the remains of the Monteserico Castle, built around the year 1000 but also used by Frederick II.
